Mozilla Firefox Crashes!
Hi all,
Now there can be a great no. of reasons for this to happen and since Firefox is open-source, you can easily find a no. of solutions for it on the web or maybe your own solution. But one of the reasons it might have started crashing, specially after logging into a particular account might be due to the fact that you recently installed "FLASH PLAYER". So while re-installing firefox and having to backup all the tabs and loose the homely feel of a used browser, the best way might be to simply remove the flashplayer.xpt file which firefox uses to configure the extension.
Otherwise, uninstall the flash player which in my case weirdly failed as apt-get said that the package was not installed. So what I did was I went to the local config folder /home/user_name/.mozilla/plugins and removed flashplayer.xpt and woohoo my firefox was back on track.
Now in case you are using doze, simply re-installing firefox won't help as your profile will still be saved along with the extensions, so the problem still remains. In this case, delete the profile and settings and then re-install firefox. Should do the trick. Till then Firefox rocks:)
